Profile

Andrea Rusconi Clerici has 20 years of experience in the MEMS industry being involved in technology R&D, product design, manufacturing engineering and operations, ranging from new technology IP development to mass production. He has experience in research (Fraunhofer Institute), large companies (STMicroelectronics, Maxim Integrated) and start-ups (Sensordynamics, USound). He co-founded USound with the mission of bringing MEMS based micro speakers to the market and now serves as Managing Director and CTO. He has filed more than 30 Patents.

Within SONICOM, USound GmbH will be responsible to design and realise electronics hardware platforms for relevant proof-of-concepts activities in WP4. In particular USound GmbH have extensive expertise in designing, fabricating and characterising augmented reality and wearable audio devices, including multi-driver 3D sound headphones and wireless audio eyewear. The expertise will be put at service of the project for realising audio systems based on the project requirements:

• Design and simulate the system
• Generate bill of materials and realise hardware
• Characterise the system

USound owns 30 patent families in the field of MEMS loudspeakers and its systems and applications.
